Burlesque Cookies

Hi everyone - this is what I did on Mother's Day, 2013. These wonderful cookies are shortbread with hand made decorations. A whole lot of fun!!!

Here is a tonal exercise I completed on Saturday while at Gorman House Art Markets. What do you think?

30 DRAWINGS IN 30 DAYS

DAY 2 Favourite animal - I love birds and the fairy wren is one of my favourites. This is a sketch i did off a photo I took.

DAY 3 Favourite food - although eggs are one of my favourites - I was feeling like a boiled egg a the time of this drawing.

DAY 4 This is my view when i go to Gorman House Markets - It is a beautiful courtyard here there are bubbles being blown, coffee being drunk and muci being played. Very relaxing.

DAY 6 Favourite book - Modern Art is all about the groundbreaking moments in the art worls. This is a Lichtenstein Print with Ben Day dots - it took 2 hours!!

DAY 5 My best friend  - my husband of course.

DAY 1 Draw yourself. I look so old, but I like these different images of my eyes - they tell so much about expression.

Donna Hay Chocolate and Caramel Brownies

Yesterday I baked Donna Hay's packet mix caramel studded brownies - they are deliscious. They were soooo easy and tasted yummmy! I would do this again Only $7.50 at Coles.

They also have cake mixes at half price at the moment $2.50 for 12 cupcakes - bargain. Stock up for those fetes!

Steampunk Birds

I started creating steampunk birds about 5 weeks ago. My first creations were fun to do. Here are a few of the images I started with. Let me know what you think. These images start out as A3 hand drawn images and get scanned into the computer.

I print these images onto blank greeting cards and sell them at local markets including Gorman House Art Market and Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston Canberra.

I am always on the lookout for new markets to sell my wears so let me know if you have a special market coming up.

I have some of these on Zazzle and Etsy. If you want me to create an animal or bird for a special occasion let me know.

Here is my pigeon. I have designed 3 different colour combinations. Since pigeons were often used as messengers - I gave him a helicopter hat to help him take off!
